Special Weekend Seminars

Teleosis sponsors several weekend seminars each year which are open to practitioners and advanced students of homeopathy. The seminars for 2007 are as follows:

March 24-25 Acute Prescribing with Dr. Molly Punzo

Dr. Punzo will review her most frequently used remedies for many common acute conditions. She will include practical tips from her experience and address safety considerations, such as: how high can a child's temperature go before you need to do something else? How can you tell whether it's safe to treat a child's croupy cough with homeopathy? This seminar is meant to be of interest both to professional homeopaths and to household prescribers. Not for beginners, however; you should have at least a year of formal study of homeopathy to participate. Dr. Punzo practices homeopathy on the eastern shore of Maryland and is a board member of the National Center for Homeopathy. Location to be announced. $100 in advance, $125 at the door.

April 20-22 Challenging Children and Lac Remedies with Dr. Farokh Master

Dr. Farokh Master is an internationally distinguished homeopath from India and author of many books including Clinical Observations of Children's Types and Lac Remedies in Homeopathy. This weekend seminar will begin Friday at 7 pm with Dr. Master taking and analysing the case of an autistic child. On Saturday and Sunday, he will present several of his favorite remedies for ADHD and autism, and review his experience with the different milk remedies. This seminar is a special opportunity to study with a renowned homeopath who has tremendous clinical experience in treating children. Intended for practicing homeopaths and advanced students of homeopathy. Location to be announced. $275 in advance, $300 at the door.

April 23-24 Difficult Patient Live Clinic with Dr. Farokh Master

This clinic provides an opportunity for practicing homeopaths to bring a patient whose case they have been unable to solve, for Dr. Master to interview and analyze the case in front of a small class. (There is no fee for the patient, but the patient must be willing to be interviewed in front of a group and have her case videotaped for future possible instructional purposes. The patient also must be willing to take the prescribed remedy and report on the results.) The clinic patients will also include several autistic children and will provide a very special opportunity to learn more about Dr. Master's experience with autism. Location and fees to be decided based in part on how many people want to participate. Please contact the school if you are interested, and especially if you would like to bring a patient.

East-West Health Services is in Porter Square just off Mass. Ave., about two blocks closer to Harvard Square from Porter. We are in the back of the same building as Susanna’s dress shop at 1776 Mass. Ave. Lancaster is a side street off Mass. Ave. between Susanna’s and a UPS Store. Go up Lancaster St., the side street, just a little bit to the hanging sign saying “East West Health Services.” It is next to a set of 6 stairs going down to a little brick terrace/garden. We’re the only doorway from this terrace, and the only doorway in the back of the same building as Susanna’s. (Don’t be fooled by #5; it is a condo with an entrance on the side of the building).
If you are traveling by public transportation, take the Red Line to Porter Square, cross Mass. Ave., go left about 3 blocks to Susanna’s at 1776 Mass. Ave.
If you are driving, then it would be best to park at any metered parking spot on Mass. Ave.
If you are coming up Mass. Ave. from Harvard Square, look for parking in the 1700s, near Judy Jetson’s hair salon, then walk across Mass. Ave.
If you are heading towards Harvard Square from Arlington, go past Porter Square and Porter Exchange (the old Sears building) about one block, then look for parking near Susanna’s.
If you are coming from north of Boston, take Rte. 2 until it makes a T-intersection at Alewife with Rte. 16 (Alewife Brook Parkway). Go left on 16, then immediately get in the right lane so you can make a right turn at the first light (Mass. Ave., with a gas station on the corner.) Go about one mile to Porter Square and follow directions above.
From elsewhere, please do a Mapquest for 1776 Mass. Ave., Cambridge.
